CMK Design Team Call

Create My Keepsake is having a Design Team Call. I think that the application process is awesome! I knew that I just had to try because the process is so much fun! They asked that everyone create their very own kit. How cool is that?

My kit contains:

Cardstock:
Bazzill Cardstock (2 of each color) in Raven, Maraschino and Cream Puff

Patterned Paper:
Jenni Bowlin Studio: Vintage Collection, Red Large Dot
Jenni Bowlin Studio: Vintage Collection, Red Tiny Dot
Jenni Bowlin Studio: Numbered Die-Cut Label Paper
Scenic Route: Laurel Collection, Rookery Road (double sided)
Scenic Route: Laurel Collection, Marina Drive (double sided)
Making Memories: Love Story Collection, Red Dot Floral (double sided)
KI Memories: Pop Culture, 2747 Heiress (double sided)
Collage Press: Grayson Hall Collection, World Traveler Cream

Embellishments:
Bazzill: Just the Edge cardstock strips, French Vanilla
Making Memories: Tiny Alphabet Stickers, White Black
Making Memories: Spiral Journaling Book, 5th Avenue
Jenni Bowlin Studio: Bingo Card, Adore
Jenni Bowlin Studio: Rub-ons, Date Labels
Heidi Swapp: XL Ghost Shapes, Star
Pink Paislee: Pixee Stix Glitter, Silver Berry
Pink Paislee: Holly Doodle Alphabet Stickers, Black
Creative Cafe: Lucky Bulk Buttons, Red
Creative Cafe: Lucky Ric Rac Felt Ribbon, Black
Black and Cream Stripe Grosgrain Ribbon, Etsy
DMC Embrpodery Floss, black

I have had this Jenni Bowlin Bingo Card forever and when I noticed the "3" on there, I knew just what I wanted to do with it. Maddux is easy to love, so the journaling was easy to pull together. He thinks that this is the coolest layout "eber."

I saw the idea for the stitching with the buttons in a recent Scrapbooks, Etc magazine, in a layout by Mellette Berezoski. It took me two whole episodes of Golden Girls to get all of that stitching done! Sigh. I love Golden Girls.

I also love the bow that I made. I have been dying to use the ribbon since I bought it on Etsy.

And here is the February page for the calendar that I am working on for my mom. I used the Making Memories 15 x 7 Blank Calendar. I make this calendar every year for my mom, and it arrives at her house approximately at the beginning of the new year. Some years make it closer than others, hee hee.

I will most definitely be "making" my own kits again soon because they allow me to be creative without being overwhelmed by all of the products that I have accumulated. Sometimes, less is more. That is why I love kits, and now I know that I can create my own. :)

Estee your kit is awesome! Does that mean you made the DT for CMK? If so, WTG!

Your layouts are fabulous. I love how you put things together so easily.

Have a very Happy and Healthy New Year!

Thanks, Carmen!! :) This is just my submission for the DT call, today is the deadline. Their team is AMAZING and they are only looking for 2 new designers, so I doubt that I will make it. But I had fun trying!! :)

Happy New Year to you and your wonderful family, too. :)

Love your kit! Did you make it just using stuff you already had? That's a good idea...I should try that...I could get more use out of my stuff that way maybe. Great LOs too!! And that is a neat way to apply for a DT! Good luck!! :)

What Lal said;) That's a good idea to make your own kits to use up your stash. Must remember that;)

Good luck on the DT call. I think your work is awesome. Keeping my fingers crossed for you:)
