Christmas Cards

It's that time of year again! Time for me to make Christmas cards and then send them to absolutely no one. I am so not a Christmas card kind of gal. My mom, on the other hand, mailed out her cards the day after Thanksgiving. No joke. She rocks out the Christmas cards.

I made these cards using my December Mosh Posh kit. I loved all of the fun October Afternoon patterned papers and the embellishments were just perfect for lots of fun cards!

I just love using up all of my scraps of paper to create pictures on my layouts or cards.

I hand cut circles from the patterned papers and then cut them in half to create the shingles for this little cottage. The sparkly tree is made from sticks that I covered in glitter and sequins.

This is my favorite card. I just love everything and anything about Christmas trees.

I drew a Christmas tree onto a piece of white cardstock and cut it out. I then attached all of the folded pieces of patterned paper. The final step was to trim the paper from around the cardstock. I thought it would be a cleaner shape that way.

The October Afternoon Very Merry Wild Cards were perfect for the sentiment that I wanted to portray on this card.

I hand cut the petals and leaves for the poinsettia. I layered the green rick rack on top of the leaves and stapled it all together. I just love the layering.

And those are my Christmas cards! This will be my very last Mosh Posh kit. It was a very difficult decision, but I decided not to try out for the design team this term. I have been with Mosh Posh for 2 years now and I am grateful to Kristen for giving me the opportunity to be a part of her team. Mosh Posh was my very first design team. I will miss working with Brooke, Jenny and Frances!! You guys are the best!! MUAH!

You know I wouldn't leave you without a giveaway!! Just leave me a comment telling me about what you have been doing to get in the holiday spirit and I will draw one winner who will receive a little package from me!! (There will be lots of red, white and green embellishments + a little chocolate, YUM!)

You have until Monday to leave me a comment! Happy Thursday!

I just love these cards Estee! You are so very creative. I just may lift one or two them.

I'm just listening to Christmas music when I can...no one else seems interested in listening to it. I should get the tree up this weekend!

Thanks for your inspiration and the chance to win!

what cute cards!! I love them, I am really bad at getting Christmas cards out as well, I need to work on that! It's been hard for me to get into the holiday spirit lately, but yesterday I handmade some really cute crafts for gifts, I cute out my girls Christmas dresses and I have the ribbon for matching bows! I am now getting into the spirit :)

All of your cards are completely adorable Estee! I'm sad to hear that you'll be leaving Mosh Posh! I know they'll miss you! I'll stay tuned to your blog to see what else you come up with! I've been getting into the Christmas spirit by doing a daily December class where we focus on the simple things that make Christmas wonderful! If I don't talk to you again before then, Merry Christmas!

Cute cards. I love that you use scraps to create such adorable artwork! This year I've already put up the tree and several wreaths and garlands. I'm also photographing kids for xmas cards and trying to find time to get a little baking done to.

Your cards turned out fantastic! Love them.

Let's see, to get in the holiday spirit I walked through Michael's and they were playing Christmas music and I was *forced* to buy a new ornament based solely on the fact that I was standing in front of it when I heard the music. And also I've got my shopping pretty much done, which means I can relax and enjoy the season. :)

These cards are awesome! Now I can't wait to get my stuff and play. Although most of my cards should be done by then. ;)

MP will be losing a really great design team member. No doubt I will continue to stalk your blog and see all your fab creations.

Going and getting our x-mas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving kicks off getting into the spirit. All the fall stuff comes down and all the x-mas goodness goes up. We also go to a light festival that weekend so that helps us get into the spirit.

I just spent Friday night with friends making Christmas cards. It was a lot of fun, but I don't know that I will send them all out. I have high hopes. I've got my list going already and hopefully I'm planning on getting them out this weekend. Wish me luck;)
