We have owned 3 different Memory Games. We have lost an annoying amount of cards from those Memory Games, which kind of defeats the purpose. Plus, why should I buy another game when I have so many fun colors and patterns of paper at my fingertips? Why didn't I think of this sooner?

I have well over a thousand sheets of patterned paper. (
Shhh! Don't tell Brad.) I have scrap pieces that are left over from projects but were just too pretty to throw away. I kept thinking that I might need them someday. See? I was right! You could also use scraps of wrapping paper, fabric or even magazines for this project. I am definitely going to make a set for Christmas using all of that leftover wrapping paper!
I used my
Fiskars circle punch to punch out 2 circles of each piece of paper that I wanted to use. You can make as many as you want for your Memory Game. I made 20 pairs - or 40 circles.

I then used my
Making Memories Paper Trimmer to cut my white
cardstock into 2.5" x 2.5" squares. (Sorry for the quality of pictures, this was one of my 1:00AM projects,
hee hee!)

I then used my corner rounder to round the edges of my squares. You definitely don't have to do this step, but I am a glutton for details. Then, glue your circles into the center of your squares. Wasn't that easy?

You can make as many cards, or as few, as you would like. For
Maddux, he does better with 10 matches at a time, but
Breuklyn can easily do all 20 matches.
Once I get some laminating sheets, I will be laminating these. I also have extra
cardstock squares so that I can make more cards when I have extra scraps of paper.
You should try this! And now I am off to finish laundry. Carolyn will BE HERE TOMORROW!!!
