The 12 Days of Cookies - Final Recap

Day One: Andes Mint Cookies
Day Two: Rolo Cookies
Day Three: Peanut Butter Blossoms
Day Four: Snickerdoodles
Day Five: Candy Cane Blossoms
Day Six: Russian Tea Cakes
Day Seven: Murstees (Malted Toffee Cookies)
Day Eight: Super Spicy Gingersnaps
Day Nine: Cardamom Cookies
Day Ten: Mocha Crackle Cookies
Day Eleven: Cream Cheese Spritz Cookies
Day Twelve: Cherry Nut Mudslides

I always make up the Spritz Cookie dough the night before. Spritz Cookie dough can be a little finicky when it comes to temperature so I find it to be easiest to make it the night before and let it rest overnight.

The Cherry Nut Mudslides are a new recipe that I am going to be trying this year, along with Raspberry Coconut cookies. I will also make them the night before and I am sure that you will hear all about it!! My Baking Day will be December 21st, I can't wait to get started!! I am so excited that there are so many of you that have tried a few of the recipes. I want to see pictures!! Happy Baking!

Today is the first day of the 12 Days of Christmas for my kids.

The First Day of Christmas is bundling up in the car and going to look at Christmas lights. We will stop at Starbucks to get hot chocolate (or chocolate milk) and sing Christmas songs loudly (and probably badly, let's be honest) while we look at all of the beautiful Christmas lights in the surrounding neighborhoods. My iPod has been loaded with all of the necessary songs. As soon as the sun sets, we are ready to go!

Aww sounds like a fun time for you and your kiddos.

Those Raspberry coconut ones sound awesome.

I will start tomorrow I guess finally got one of my tables up in the living room so I get stuff off the dining room table to use for cookie making!

You are such an awesome mom!! I love toffee, so I think I am going to make your Murstee's. I don't save my dough for a bake day (I should, cuz I've been eating all my cookies). I gave some to one of the ladies I clean for.. wanna see an 80 yr lady act like a kid? Give her a big shirt box full of cookies. I wish I had my camera!

That sounds like fun! Make sure you try the new hot chocolate at Starbucks - it's soooo much tastier than the syrup they originally used! Salted Caramel is my favorite - super sweet (if you love mocha's, try the espresso truffle.... same thing with coffee - yum!)

The cherry-nut mudslides sound yummy and so do raspberry coconut cookies - looking forward to your reviews!

Hope you have fun with your kids baking all these cookies and with your 12 days of Christmas - you are definitely an awesome mom (just like "Anonymous" said!) :)

Sounds like fun! Seeing as how I'm semi-incapacitated this holiday season, I opted to not do my 12 days of Christmas stuff. Besides, Lij isn't even here until the 18th and this was stuff I wanted to do with both of the boys.
