Christmas Cards

I am not a card person in the sense that I hate sending out cards. I love to create cards, but have no patience to sit down and write notes in them. Heaven forbid that I have to address it, gah! But, my mom is the queen of cards. Truly. She writes out all of her Christmas cards on Thanksgiving. Once the turkey has been eaten and the dishes have been washed, my mom busts out the address book. These are for you, mom!

I used Basic Grey Christmas paper for these (and 2-3 more of each style). Basic Grey had a card kit last Christmas that I saw on a blog somewhere, probably Kelly Goree. I had sketched them last year in a notebook that I use and used the sketches as inspiration for these cards.

These cards are a little brighter and less inked. I used the KI Memories Christmas lines from last year for these along with Doodlebug velvet brads, Jenni Bowlin rub-ons and Making Memories tiny alphas.

They are now sitting in a box, complete with envelopes. Now I need to bribe Brad into taking them to the Post Office. :)

Do you make your own cards? Do you send out cards?

So cute! Love your cards! :) Every year we send out a photo card (I use Shutterfly) of something we did during the year. I'm with ya on the addressing, personalizing and mailing... takes so much dang time! :)

Holy Crap! You made these???
They are so cool. It's all I can do to get the stamp on the envelope straight. Nice job!

WOW! Those are alot of cards! And so detailed too! I do NOT have the patience to do all that on so many cards! I usually do make a Christmas card with a family pic to send out, but I try to keep them as simple as possible because I have to duplicate it at least 20 times! But you did an awesome job! Oh, and I emailed you about the glitter stuff...with my address, did you get it?

These Christmas cards are fabulous! Yes I make and send them out. One thing nice about living with a techie is he's got to have all the gadgets and had a dymo label printer, boy does that make addressing cards (and everything) so much easier!

Lovely... I love the tall Christmas tree one! :) I'm kinda like your mom.. kinda. I have my cards mailed out the day before Thanksgiving... This year however they might be a bit late since I still can't think of a photo to put in the card.

Your cards are awesome... yes, you know my mother, we definitely are a card-loving family! I just started making my card list last night... I am up to 112 people/families that need cards... lots and lots of writing ahead of me!!!

How did I miss this post??? :) I love your cards. I actually made some yesterday. I always say I am going to make my own cards and then I procrastinate and not make any and we end up not sending cards at all. But yesterday I completed 6. I used a kit I had from last year too. I figure if I work on them a little at at time, I won't feel so overwhelmed:)
