A Leaf Garland

As soon as I saw the Cosmo Cricket paper in this month's Mosh Posh kit, I just knew that a leaf garland was in my immediate future.

To make this garland, I first drew two leaves onto a piece of cardstock, one smaller than the other, to use as guides. Using my guide, I cut 15 leaves from felt, using the larger leaf. I then cut 15 smaller leaves from the Cosmo Cricket patterned paper.

I attached the patterned paper onto the felt by stitching a straight line across the two. Nothing fancy, just a straight stitch. Once that part was completed, then came the fun... the embellishing!

I added more details for the leaves, lots of buttons, felt embellishments and brads. This is the fun stuff. If you decide to make a garland, it can be as detailed or as simple as you please. To attach the leaves together, I totally cheated and staples them together. Hee Hee. Simple, yet effective. Voila! A leaf garland!

Since today is the Mosh Posh Blog Hop, you just knew that I couldn't leave you without a prize, right? Today I have 52 ribbons, just for you. I love ribbon and have collected so much of it that I would love to share some with you. All you need to do is leave me a comment telling me what you are having for dinner tonight. Bizarre question, I know, but I am stumped and need some ideas!

You have until Sunday, November 15th to leave a comment. I will announce the winner on Monday.

Be sure to hop along to see my Design Team Members, who have tricks up their sleeves I am sure!

I am on the road traveling for work so it will be dinner out. Sorry, no help here. I'm betting it will be order in pizza for the guys at home.

How about picking up a roasted chicken (they are only like $5-6), salad and a veggie. Maybe throw in some bread. Easy and fast and pretty healthy.

My goodness, what a CUTE fall leaf garland. I hopped to all the blogs and your sweet garland is my favorite project!!! So clever and can be reproduced for each holiday and different times of the year!

As far as dinner for tonight goes, that's easy-peesy! I'm a Tastefully Simple consultant and have a party tonight, so I made a big pot of Everybody's Chili and Parmesan Biscuits for my family and they'll find dinner waiting for them on the stove when they roll in from school and work tonight!

Thanks for the chance to win :)

So cute!!! Love the garland :)

As for me? I'm not much help either, hubby cooks dinner and I have no clue what we'll be eating. I can tell you what we had last night though! He made turkey burgers on french bread (homemade!) with lettuce, avocado, sharp white cheddar cheese (melted on) and tomato. mmmmmm. Served with a side of steamed veggies (broccoli, carrots, califlower) and followed by apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Typical meal around our house actually :) I married an amazing chef!! Good luck finding something tasty for dinner tonight.

Glorious ribbon! How about homemade Chicken pot pie from scratch and homemade whole wheat biscuits instead of crust. Add some Organic green beans lightly stir fried. Our family favorite!

My husband and I love trying new recipes and we recently discovered a very easy (and delicious) lime rice recipe that compliments almost any meat dish we pair it with. Tonight we are making chicken enchilladas with lime rice and a mexi-corn casserole.

I LOVE that banner! I especially love that you stapled it together. LOL Gorgeous as always Estee!

Hmmm dinner... I have no clue? We could always go with the favorite meal around here... chicken nuggets, and tator tots(baked of course.), and trees (broccoli) for nutrition. LOL
