Do You Know What We Need? A Giveaway, of course.

I have a confession to make. I have had the most awful and ridiculously crazy month and all I want to do is climb into bed and hide. Ever have a month like that? However, the world does not want to stop even when I do. Imagine that. :)

And since I am confiding all of my secrets, I am going to share a scrapbooking confession. I have a basket where I deposit all of my extra embellishments when I am done with a layout or project. I would like to say that I neatly organize all of my extras, but it just doesn't happen. They land in a basket where they glare at me in defiance.

And today I cleaned out the basket. Organizing is good for my soul. So is sharing.

Wouldn't you like to have all of this? There are lots of random buttons, brads, chipboard pieces, felt embellishments, Bingo cards, die cuts, lengths of ribbon, pins and journaling spots. That's right. There are over 200 embellishments here. They need a home.

All you have to do is leave a comment here telling me about something that made you happy today. You have until Friday, September 25th to leave a comment, so let's hear it!! :)

Hmmmm something that made me happy? A package arrived from Hong Kong today for a coworker who is on vacation and the rest of us have spend all day trying to guess what is inside. I guessed nunchucks!

Sorry to hear things are the pits right now! I hope they start to improve soon.

Oh Estee, I feel for you! I know how it is to have a period of time when you just think, "life sucks." I recently went through a bout of depression and some serious heart-break, where I was on medication and had to take off of work. But through it all, I had to just keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason, even if you don't understand it at the time. Keep your chin up and just know that God has a plan for everything! Everything has worked out in my life, and all for the better. I found that people aren't always what they seem, and you can't make people act a certain way. All that you can do is be the best person that you can be and hope that you get the same in return!

Something that made me happy today was that my 3-year-old daughter woke up and told me, "I love you mommy. You are my favorite mommy." That really made my day. I've also been striving to be a better person all around, even if it is just holding the door open for other people, smiling when I am walking down the hall, or being courteous and letting people in on the highway. It's the little things that we can do to make the world a better place.

Thank you for the chance to win your goodies. I love the little owl button, the pins, the brads, the prima swirly pearls, the black flower, the tickets... all of it. Whoever wins this will be one lucky lady! (or man :))

I hope that you have a great weekend, and your days get brighter. Step outside, take a deep breath, and look at the beauty around you. You are lucky to be alive, and just know that no matter what, you mean the world to someone.

Thinking of you from Oklahoma,
Lindsay

You know, there's nothing wrong with hiding in bed for a little while. Sometimes, that's what you need!! Especially if you have someone to cuddle with.

What made me happy is today was fish taco day in my company cafeteria. I LOVE their fish tacos!!!

I just organized my 'bin of crap' today. It feels good but I need to do it more often! I sure do like your crap though- consider me entered :)

I hope October is better. If not- I say take more naps. They are good for the soul.

Well I can so relate. My hubby was laid off from his job a month ago and things just keep piling up to where I just want to hide. So today I woke up and decided I needed to bake.

I made your super yummy Zucchini Bread. I had sooooo much of it last year that thinking about it made me sick...LOL...but it's a brand new year and it smells amazing and just made me happy for Fall and my family. I actually was popping on here to tell you thanks again for that amazing recipe and what do I see a give a way.

You are in my thoughts always. Just remember you are a great mom and wife and even the greatest moms/wives have rough months but having family there to pull you through is a blessing, and of course your blogging friends. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Bake bread it worked over here...hee hee hee

My happy thing of the day is that it is the start of ScrapFest at the Mall of America! I'm going to the My Little Yellow Bicycle Crop tonight and I'm SO excited!

Hope things settle down for you soon. Thanks for sharing!

Estee, I am so sorry for having a crazy month!! I hope things get better!! I wish I had something funny to share to cheer you up, but alas I was not gifted with that kind of humor.

Something that made me happy today.. Greg went with me to the Mall. I went to scrapfest and breezed thru it in about 30 min. Suffice it to say, I am glad I didn't spend the money on the badge and all that.. it wasn't the hipe it was made out to be. But it was nice to spend the day with him.. just bumming around, grabbing a bite to eat. He isn't home much lately. I am happy that I got a few LO's done and I got an some American crafts things in the mail today.

Hugs to you!! I hope things improve!! :)

I hope things turn around for you too!

We've had a busy few weeks and the rainy month blahs (it just won't stop). I did hide this afternoon! Even if it was just for a couple of hours during the boys "quiet time." I hope you get a chance to do the same.

My boys are learning Spanish & sign language in Pre-K. One of them looked up at me tonight at dinner and said "Te amo mommy. Do you know what that means?" Made my heart skip a beat when his face lit up after I said it back to him and he knew I understood.

What made me happy today, being able to get out of bed and get something done... with bipolar disorder it's pretty much a gamble day by day, so I was blessed this morning when I was able to wake up, get moving and have a full and creative day...

something that made me happy today? hmmmm... well - I'm getting a lot of laundry done - THAT makes me happy. Let me rephrase that - laundry being DONE makes me happy - not the actual DOING! :)

There were many, many things that made me happy today...

My child hugged, as did my hubby. My mom cooked a great meal. I got to spend some time scrapbooking, and I ignored every pressing matter (homework, bills, and housework) just so I could have so me time.

It was a good day!

well, today is the first day of school at my school :).I can't wait to see all my students and start working with them. I'm very excited, I'm preparing for the day with them and it really makes me happy :).It also makes me happy that I'm going to a store later, to buy some necessities for my classroom. It's the little things in life that brighten our days and the best in this is that every day has at least one of such little things that we shouldn't miss.
happy face :)

something that made me happy today was taking my kids to school..no just kidding, I was happy to find out that my youngest who is in Kindergarten was chosen to be student of the week and not by a random drawing but by the teacher, and the one that is picked is the one that has been listening and has stayed on green and showed respect for the teacher. It made me feel good to know that mine is doing that :)

SO sorry you've had a rough month. I hope things start looking up for you:)

Something that made me happy today...I didn't have a hard time getting dd up this morning, my throat isn't hurting anymore, I'm pretty much done with all my chores and they didn't take me forever and I'm making a Hobby Lobby run in a bit...that's more than one;) hee hee

Today I realized that I have the best job in the world. It has no monetary pay, it isn't as appreciated by society as it should be, and it can be hard work... but it definitely is the best job there is. I get to be a mommy :)

This morning I woke up when my 3 month old baby girl started to stir. When I looked into her crib she had just opened her eyes. Upon seeing me, she gave a great big smile. That made me super happy.

My almost-3-year-old son gave me a hug and said "Mommy, do you know why I say I love you so much?" I asked him why. He said "Because I really, really, really, really love you!" That brought happy tears to my eyes.

Being a Mommy makes me happy today and every day.

Thanks so much for having this giveaway... I LOVE embellishments! Yay!!!

first off, those goodies are amazing and i would love to provide a loving home for them! LOL! something that made me happy today....hmmm, let's see...a coupon i found that made my oreo brownie i had for lunch practically free was definitely a positive thing! but i would have to say knowing that i can unload all my problems (and there have been plenty lately!) on God and that He will take care of them if I let Him. That makes me less stressed and in turn, that make me happier!

I feel you on the bed part. I went back to work this past month after 15 years. 5 kids and a job- the bed and I are on good terms lately!

And Yowza! That's one good basket load of goodies.
Today.......I was complete as a Mom when I secretly walked into my 6years old's classroom to find him working with his teacher and being told "You did Good!" And then to come home to a prize little package from Sassafras Lass and lunch with my sweetie- today was a happy day.
