The Beauty of Laughing Until You Cry

Breuklyn has reached the most amazing stage. About a month ago I was in the middle of a conversation with her when something absolutely mortifyingly hysterical happened. No, I am not going to tell you about how the chair broke and I ended up in the floor. Sorry, you'll have to use your imagination. We started to laugh. And laugh. We were both laughing so hard that we were crying. It was amazing.

A few weeks after that, Breuklyn got out of the car one morning on her way to school. While she was turned around waving at us in the car, she crashed into a pole and fell backwards onto her backpack. More laughing. She actually had me roll down the window so that she could make sure that I saw her. "Did you see that?" she asked, "That was hysterical!!"

On Wednesday I took Breuklyn out for a milkshake. Some days at Kindergarten are rough and a kid just needs a milkshake. It was sooooo cold here, but I really didn't think about it. We pulled up to the drive-through window and I tried to roll down the window. Tried. Except that it was just a teensy bit frozen solid.

Of course, I had pulled up too close to the speaker thing so I couldn't even open my door. I had to resort to screaming through the frozen glass, NEVERMIND! I couldn't even pull forward because there were a gazillion cars in front of me and I was stuck screaming NEVERMIND! and knowing that they were all wondering what the heck I was doing.

Breuklyn and I were hysterical. I love that my crazy moments can now be shared with someone else. I love that she can laugh with me. I just love to listen to her laugh. Laughing until you cry is good for the soul.

OMG what a great story! I think it's fabulous that even after she fell she laughed at herself. May she always be able to do that. Life is tough enough as it is...so laugh laugh laugh!

Laughing is good! She is her mother's daughter, for sure. I hope life is good to her and she remains that way. BTW, I made the brownie/cookies. OMG! Awesome.

Aw, I love that! Mikey and I had one of those moments a few weeks back while reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. You'd have to hear his "accent" when he talks to understand how he pronounces words to see how this could have happened, but he was trying to say STOOPED" and it came out sounding like "STUPID" and he said it, then realized what he said had sounded like and looked over at me and asked "Did I just say 'stupid'?" It was hilarious!

LOL...It's great when someone laughs at the same things you laugh at. Besides me and Lal, who make each other laugh like crazy all the time, me and my daughter share the same kind of humor. We love being silly cause we are the only ones who will laugh at each other. Noboday else "gets it"...sigh;)
