I am thankful that my parents are safe.
I am thankful that material items can be replaced.
I am thankful that Del and Lori (and Ava!) opened their home and let my parents stay there.
I am thankful that when things get really tough our sense of humor kicks into high gear.
I am thankful that Carolyn got some happy news.
I am thankful to all of the people who opened their hearts and called or sent emails to let us know that we were in their thoughts.
I am just so thankful.

mom: i don't know. hmmm ... well i just heard him blow his nose. but all of the windows are blown out, so he could be upstairs or downstairs i don't know.
