Where did all of these clothes come from?

Ugh. I hate laundry. I actually enjoy the gathering and sorting of laundry into mountains in my living room. I tell myself that I am helping the kids learn their colors as I yell out, "Find all the white stuff!" while I dig under beds and search behind furniture for lost socks. They think that it is tremendous fun to plow through 315 University of Michigan t-shirts and Paizlee's teeny tiny onesies.

As I sat pondering the mysteries of how long it would take to dry all of these clothes in 105 degree heat, I had an epiphany. If I got rid of some of these clothes, then my laundry sentence would be reduced! Thus, the purging of the closets began.

Apparently, Brad has an affinity for really old Reebok t-shirts and plaid button-up Kurt Cobain style shirts that I was blissfully unaware of. Who knew? I have never seen him wear any of these shirts, but we have moved them around with us each and every time that we moved into a new house. Um, that's 5 times that I have packed and unpacked those things without once wondering, "Hmmm... does he even wear this?" So, needless to say, Brad's wardrobe has been cut back considerably. **coughcoughwithouthimknowingitcoughcough**

The closets in the kids rooms have been emptied of all clothing that no longer fits or has spaghetti-o stains. 246 pairs of shoes that they grew out of in 10 minutes have been added to a very large Hefty bag. Paizlee has outgrown all of the 0-3 month and 3-6 month outfits that we bought for her, so I sadly added them to the growing piles of unwanted clothes. The maternity clothes are gone as well. Now I just need to drive to Goodwill. Maybe there is a good home out there somewhere for my reindeer print maternity pajama bottoms. Just maybe.

Do I really think that this will help me with the laundry situation? No. But, it did keep me busy enough that I didn't have time to do laundry today and, obviously, that was the point all along.

LOL...I don't mind the laundry so much, but boy do I hate going through the closets and purging. There is always just way too much to go through:(

My husband has tons of clothes he NEVER wears that he needs to get rid of. Maybe I'll do it for him;)

OMG! You prorastinate too!?! LOL I was going to do laundry but I ran out of time to do it today because I am here talking to you! I'm guilty of going through DH's closet without him knowing. It gets awkward when they ask for something you got rid of though!!!!
